You Can Now Make Google Assistant Talk Like Issa Rae
To change the voice of Google Assistant to Issa Rae, you have two options. You can either say, "Hey Google, talk like Issa," or go to Settings > Google Assistant > Assistant Voice, and choose Issa Rae from the options available to you.
You Can Now Make Google Assistant Talk Like Issa Rae
You can fire up Issa Rae's Voice in Assistant by telling your phone, smart speaker, or other Assistant endpoint "Hey Google, talk like Issa." You can also manually select Issa in the Assistant voice settings. As with the John Legend voice, Issa Rae won't be able to completely take over for your Assistant. Rae's voice will take over for the default voice mostly for general knowledge interactions like "Do I need an umbrella today?" or "Tell me a joke."
The long-promised John Legend voice eventually landed on Google Assistant back in April, now we've got the next celebrity voice offering in the form of the brilliant actress, writer and producer, Issa Rae. Just say, "Hey Google, talk like Issa," or switch your Assistant voice settings, and she'll be ready to answer a whole bunch of questions, from "Do I need an umbrella today?" to "Tell me a joke." Plus there will be a few Easter eggs, too -- trying asking "Hey Google, do you have any dating advice?" to hear what Issa has to say.
To hear Rae's voice, users can say, "Hey Google, talk like Issa," or go to "Assistant Voice" in Assistant Settings. One particularly cute feature is the ability to ask her for a joke or advice, just like her character does on Insecure (which is now shooting, she revealed on her Instagram recently).
Unveiled in May 2016, Google Assistant is a virtual assistant powered by artificial intelligence. It is available on smartphones, and smart home devices. It was only previously available on Google smartphones like PIxel and Pixel XL. But in 2017, it began being deployed on other android devices.
On October 11, 2019, Google announced that Rae would be an additional voice to the Google Assistant. Users could make Google Assistant speak in Rae's voice by saying "Ok Google, talk like Issa."[43] Issa's Voice was available until Friday, October 1, 2021.[44]

Cooking with Google Assistant works best when you can see the recipe and scroll through instructions, rather than waiting for a speaker to talk you through each step or having the assistant repeat steps when you get behind, get distracted, or go looking for an ingredient.
This year saw a slow drip of privacy-related incidents from AI assistants made by tech giants like Amazon, Apple, and Microsoft. Most of these stories involved third-party contractors hearing wildly intimate audio from users who were unaware that humans were reviewing recorded interactions with their AI assistant.
